Cardinal Oswald Gracias has high hopes for the Church, especially in Asia, noting “a certain self-confidence” that has gradually emerged among the continent’s bishops.

In an exclusive interview with Crux Now, Gracias says the leaders of the Church in Asia have “a new awareness, a deeper consciousness of who we are and what we can offer to the universal Church.”

The Archbishop-emeritus of Bombay (Mumbai ) and past president and secretary-general of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC), has seen a good bit of history.
